ActionTrail monitors and records the operations of your Alibaba Cloud account as events. The operations include your access to and use of Alibaba Cloud services. By default, the events are used in the scenarios described in the following table.
In the following scenarios, events are queried and used for specific Alibaba Cloud services. This does not affect your use of ActionTrail or incur extra fees.

| O&M and support for Elastic Compute Service (ECS) | Alibaba Cloud O&M staff may need to query operation details in the events of ECS to
resolve the issues stated in your submitted tickets. In addition, Alibaba Cloud business
specialists can optimize the ECS service and improve user experience by analyzing
the exceptions and errors that occur when you use the ECS service.
For O&M and support purposes, ECS obtains the events of ECS and retains the events for up to three years. |

Container Instance to resolve the issues stated in your submitted tickets. In addition,
Alibaba Cloud business specialists can optimize the Elastic Container Instance service
and improve user experience by analyzing the exceptions and errors that occur when
you use the Elastic Container Instance service.
For O&M and support purposes, Elastic Container Instance obtains the events of Elastic Container Instance and retains the events for up to three years. |
