    Container Registry:[Product update] Announcement on the retirement of classic networks of Container Registry Personal Edition

    In 2014, Alibaba Cloud released cloud services based on Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), which are more secure, flexible, and performant than classic network-based cloud services. Since VPCs become the default choice of users, we decide to stop the classic network service of Container Registry Personal Edition from 00:00 on February 10, 2025 (UTC+8). Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    Change details

    • Change details: Stop the classic network service of Container Registry Personal Edition.

      Format of classic network endpoints: Classic network endpoints start with registry-internal and end with aliyuncs.com. Example: registry-internal.cn-hangzhou.aliyuncs.com.

    • Effective regions: All regions.

    Impacts

    • You cannot use classic network endpoints to access the Container Registry Personal Edition service, but you still can use VPC endpoints and Internet endpoints to access the Personal Edition service.

    • All image data stored on Container Registry Personal Edition instances remain unchanged and is not affected.

    Solutions

    To avoid service disruption, switch to the VPC or Internet endpoint before February 10, 2025. You can find these endpoints on the Overview page of your instance.
