Container Service for Kubernetes:Manage the MSE Ingress Controller component

Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) managed clusters, ACK Serverless clusters, and Container Compute Service (ACS) clusters include a managed MSE Ingress Controller built on Microservices Engine (MSE) cloud-native gateways. This topic explains how to install, upgrade, and uninstall the MSE Ingress Controller component.

Install MSE Ingress Controller

Method 1: Install during cluster creation

When creating an ACK managed cluster, ACK Serverless cluster, or ACS cluster, select MSE Ingress for Ingress in the Component Configurations step.

Method 2: Install from the Add-ons page

  1. Log on to the ACK console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters.

  2. On the Clusters page, click the name of the target cluster or click Details in the Actions column.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Operations > Add-ons.

  4. On the Add-ons page, click the Networking tab. In the lower-right corner of the MSE Ingress Controller card, click Install.

Method 3: Install from the Ingresses page

  1. Log on to the ACK console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters.

  2. On the Clusters page, click the name of the target cluster or click Details in the Actions column.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Network > Ingresses.

  4. On the Ingresses page, click Create Ingress in the upper-right corner. In the Create Ingress panel, select MSE Cloud-native Gateway for Gateway Type, then follow the prompts to install the component.

Upgrade the MSE Ingress Controller component

If the Upgrade option is not displayed on the MSE Ingress Controller card, the component is already at the latest version. No upgrade is needed.
  1. Log on to the ACK console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters.

    ACK managed cluster or ACK Serverless cluster

    1. ACK managed clusters and ACK Serverless clusters: Log on to the ACK console. In the left navigation pane, click Clusters. On the Clusters page, click the name of your cluster. In the left navigation pane, click Add-ons.

    ACS cluster

    1. ACS clusters: Log on to the ACS console. In the left navigation pane, click Clusters. On the Clusters page, click the name of your cluster. In the left navigation pane, click Add-ons.

  2. On the Clusters page, click the name of the target cluster or click Details in the Actions column.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Operations > Add-ons.

  4. On the Add-ons page, click the Networking tab. In the MSE Ingress Controller card, click Upgrade.

  5. In the message that appears, click OK.

Uninstall the MSE Ingress Controller component

  1. Log on to the ACK console. In the left-side navigation pane, click Clusters.

    ACK managed cluster or ACK Serverless cluster

    1. ACK managed clusters and ACK Serverless clusters: Log on to the ACK console. In the left navigation pane, click Clusters. On the Clusters page, click the name of your cluster. In the left navigation pane, click Add-ons.

    ACS cluster

    1. ACS clusters: Log on to the ACS console. In the left navigation pane, click Clusters. On the Clusters page, click the name of your cluster. In the left navigation pane, click Add-ons.

  2. On the Clusters page, click the name of the target cluster or click Details in the Actions column.

  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Operations > Add-ons.

  4. On the Add-ons page, click the Networking tab. In the lower-right corner of the MSE Ingress Controller card, click Uninstall.

  5. In the Uninstall message, click OK.
