To comply with security and compliance requirements, Container Service for Kubernetes stops providing Ingress test domain names for new clusters starting from July 15, 2024. This means that the registration of new {clusterID}.alicontainer domain names are discontinued.
Changes and impact scope
Starting from July 15, 2024, Container Service for Kubernetes will stop providing Ingress test domain names for newly created clusters. This means that the registration of new {clusterID}.alicontainer domain names are discontinued and you need to configure a custom domain name to use the Ingress feature.
The Ingress test domain names of existing clusters are not affected. This means that the resolution service for existing {clusterID}.alicontainer domain names is provided as expected.
This change involves ACK managed clusters, ACK dedicated clusters, ACK Serverless clusters, and ACK Lingjun clusters.
Recommended solution
We recommend that you purchase a domain name and map it to the external endpoint IP address of the nginx-ingress-lb Service in the kube-system namespace of your cluster. For more information about how to configure a custom Ingress domain name, see Create an NGINX Ingress.
