Why am I required to verify my identity?

To verify the ownership of the account, you must proceed with the verification of your identity in the following scenarios:

  • To delete your default payment method before suspending your account.
  • To modify account information when you are unable to operate it by yourself (for example, you want to modify your secure phone number you have forgotten).

  • To check your account you suspect was hacked.

How can I verify my identity?

As for verification, you must open a ticket to the support team with the following information:

  • Alibaba Cloud account number (probably an email address or a mobile phone number) and your name.
  • Either of the following two:

    • A copy of the transaction record provided by the bank, which issued your credit card.

    • The first 6 digits and the last 4 digits of your credit card number, and the card holder name (only for accounts with credit card as payment method).

After Alibaba Cloud support team receives your ticket, the team checks and confirms the details that you provide, and then serves your request.
