Why is identity verification required?
Identity verification confirms that you are the rightful owner of your Alibaba Cloud account. You must verify your identity in the following scenarios:
You want to delete your default payment method before suspending your account.
You cannot modify account information on your own. For example, you need to change a forgotten secure phone number.
You suspect your account has been hacked.
How do I verify my identity?
Open a ticket and provide the following information:
Your Alibaba Cloud account number (probably an email address or a mobile phone number) and your name.
One of the following as proof of identity:
A copy of the transaction record from the bank that issued your credit card.
The first 6 digits and last 4 digits of your credit card number, along with the cardholder name. This option is available only for accounts that use a credit card as the payment method.
After the Alibaba Cloud support team receives your ticket, they verify the details you provided and process your request.
