DataWorks:Identify sensitive data

After you configure a data identification rule, DataWorks uses this rule to identify sensitive data in your workspace and displays the identification results on the Data Recognition page.

Prerequisites

Data Security Guard is activated. You must use the Alibaba Cloud account to activate the service. For more information, see Overview.

Background information

On the next day after you configure a data identification rule, you can view the identified sensitive data and its distribution.

Note

A security administrator can specify the access mode and the users that are allowed to access the Data Recognition page on the System Config page.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the DataWorks console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Data Modeling and Development > DataStudio. On the page that appears, select the desired workspace from the drop-down list and click Go to DataStudio.

  2. Click the Icon icon in the upper-left corner and choose All Products > Data Governance > Data Security Guard.

  3. Click Try now. The Data Security Guard homepage appears.

  4. In the left-side navigation pane, click Data Recognition. The Data Recognition page appears.

    The Data Recognition page displays data assets from multiple dimensions, such as workspaces and levels. On this page, you can view the total number and proportion of fields and tables that hit data identification rules.
