Causes of overdue payments

An overdue payment for your NAS file system occurs in the following situations:

Service suspension for overdue payments

The service status for NAS changes as follows when payment is overdue:

General-purpose NAS file systems

  • If you settle the overdue payment within 15 days, your service will not be suspended.

  • If the payment is overdue for more than 15 days, Alibaba Cloud immediately stops the NAS service. Only the data stored in the NAS file system is retained. No new fees are generated after the service is stopped. If you add funds to settle the overdue payment within 22 days after the payment becomes overdue, the NAS service is automatically enabled and you can continue to use it.

  • If you do not settle overdue payments within 22 days, Alibaba Cloud assumes that you no longer require NAS. Your data stored in General-purpose NAS file systems is deleted. You cannot restore deleted data. Before your data is deleted, you are still charged for the storage space. If you no longer require NAS, we recommend that you delete your General-purpose NAS file systems.

Extreme NAS

  • To ensure service continuity, you must settle overdue payments within 15 days.

  • If you do not settle overdue payments within 15 days, Alibaba Cloud assumes that you no longer require NAS. Your data stored in Extreme NAS file systems is deleted. You cannot restore deleted data. If you no longer require NAS, we recommend that you delete your Extreme NAS file systems. Otherwise, you are still charged for the storage space of your NAS file systems.
