Resize a cluster

Last Updated: Jul 31, 2018

E-HPC provides you the flexibilty in resizing the clusters to attain your business demands. This article explains how to resize a cluster.

  1. Log on to the E-HPC console cluster to view cluster overview information table.

  2. Click Resize from the Operations column of the target cluster to view the resize interface.

  3. On this interface, enter the number of nodes you need. The new computing nodes use the E-HPC cluster’s original configuration. Select the E-HPC Terms of Service check box to confirm your agreement, and purchase the new nodes.

  • The nodes are not immediately available right after the purchase. You must initialize these nodes first. However, use of the original computing nodes remain unaffected.

After a few minutes, you can view the cluster overview information interface. The increased computing node count indicates that the new nodes have been initialized and are ready for job scheduling.
