:What is CDT?

Last Updated:May 30, 2023

Cloud Data Transfer (CDT) is a service that is used to manage the billing of data transfers for different services in the cloud, including the bills that are generated for the services. You can use CDT to collect statistics about data transfers over the Internet or cross-region data transfers over private networks and then generate bills. CDT helps you gain complete control over the volumes and costs of data transfers that are incurred by different services. CDT also provides tiered pricing for services that are billed based on Internet data transfers. In tiered pricing mode, more discounts are offered when the volume of data transfers reaches a higher tier.

Benefits

1. Cost savings

CDT provides tiered pricing for data transfers over the Internet. The unit price decreases when the volume of data transfers reaches a higher tier.

2. Simple management

You can use CDT together with different services. After you activate CDT to manage the billing of data transfers for these services, you need only to handle bills generated by CDT.

3. Complete control over usage and costs

CDT bills provide information about the overall usage and costs. This way, you gain complete control over usage and costs.
