Notice details
To improve DNS security and prevent conflicts caused by resource misuse when adding domain names, the free edition of the Alibaba Cloud DNS Public Zonen begins detecting invalid DNS data at 00:00 (UTC+8) on November 16, 2024, and begins deleting this data at 00:00 (UTC+8) on December 16, 2024.
1. Domain names and DNS records identified as invalid for 30 consecutive calendar days will be deleted.
A domain name's DNS data is considered invalid if it meets both of the following criteria:
The domain name is not registered with Alibaba Cloud but uses the Public Zone service.
Its DNS server addresses are not set to the Public Zone DNS server addresses provided by Alibaba Cloud DNS.
We will monitor your domain's DNS server address configuration. If a domain name is flagged as invalid, we will send you reminders on the 1st, 10th, and 20th consecutive days of its invalid status via email and website message. To receive these alerts, subscribe to Alibaba Cloud DNS operation and notifications in the Common Settings.
2. To keep these domain names and their DNS records, take the following action before the cleanup begins:
After configuring the DNS records in Alibaba Cloud DNS, go to your domain registrar and change the DNS server addresses to the addresses assigned by Alibaba Cloud DNS. For more information, see Migrate your DNS resolution to Alibaba Cloud DNS.
This cleanup of invalid DNS records does not affect your websites or services because it does not interfere with the domain name's resolution through other DNS providers. This action also does not affect any domain names registered with Alibaba Cloud.
