When applications trigger alert rules, the resulting events can accumulate quickly and become difficult to triage. Event analysis lets you filter, aggregate, and investigate alert events by combining filter conditions and aggregation dimensions in real time, allowing you to customize diagnostics for different scenarios.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure that you have:
At least one alert rule configured. For more information, see Create an alert rule
Open the Events page
Log in to the ARMS console. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Application Monitoring > Applications.
On the Applications page, select a region in the top navigation bar, then click the name of the application.
The icon in the Language column indicates how the application is connected: -
-- connected through Application Monitoring. - A hyphen (-) -- connected through Managed Service for OpenTelemetry. In the top navigation bar, click Events.
Filter events with Quick Filter
Use the Quick Filter section to filter charts and events.
Identify patterns with Alert Event Trend
The Alert Event Trend chart displays the distribution of alert events at each alert level within a specific period of time.
Investigate and manage events
The event list shows each alert event with the following details:
| Column | Description |
|---|---|
| Event name | Name of the alert event |
| Feature field | Feature associated with the event |
| Event status | Current state of the event |
| Number of events | Count of occurrences |
| Associated Alerts | Related alert rules |
From this list, you can take the following actions:
| Action | Steps |

| Manually clear an event | Click Manually Clear Alert in the Actions column. The event status changes to Cleared. |
