This topic describes the reasons why a Windows vulnerability is detected the next day after it is fixed and how to avoid the situation.

Security Center automatically scans your assets for vulnerabilities at a scheduled time every day. For more information about the vulnerability scan cycle, see Vulnerability detection cycle. If the system is not restarted after the vulnerability is fixed, or the vulnerability is not completely fixed, the vulnerability may be detected the next day.

After you fix a vulnerability, we recommend that you follow the instructions on the Detail tab to restart the system and verify whether the vulnerability has been fixed. In the Actions column, click Restart to restart the system. After you restart the system, click Verify to verify whether the vulnerability has been fixed.Verify vulnerability fix
