In a phased manner, DOKU uses Alibaba Cloud Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) to adopt microservices architecture for its primary services and business applications. It helps the company benefit from the managed Kubernetes services by eliminating the need to maintain the underlying infrastructure. DOKU also employed AlibabaMQ for Apache Kafka to interconnect multiple applications in the hybrid environment and facilitate secure and controlled communication among various business applications. Being a PaaS service, AlibabaMQ for Apache Kafka helped the company minimize the need to maintain the underlying infrastructure of the message queues.
