This blog post summarizes the feature updates for Alibaba Cloud Security Products targeting international markets from August to September 2025. Key updates include new features in Anti-DDoS Proxy driven by overseas compliance requirements, enhanced AI-powered protection capabilities in the Web Application Firewall (WAF), and the launch of an English-language AI Assistant in Cloud Security Center to deliver an improved security operations experience.

Anti-DDoS

  • Feature: Full Logs of Anti-DDoS Proxy (Outside Chinese Mainland) Can Be Delivered to a Specific Region (Sep. 16, 2025)

    • Customer Value: Full logs of Anti-DDoS Proxy (Outside Chinese Mainland) can be delivered to a specific region to meet data storage compliance requirements. Please refer to official document for more details.

  • Feature: Anti-DDoS Proxy (Outside Chinese Mainland) Support Select IP Registration Location During Purchase Process (2025-09-29)

    • Customer Value: When user purchase Anti-DDoS ProxyDDoS (Outside Chinese Mainland)，IP registration location can be selected to fulfill the network latency and regulation requirements. Currently support locations include Singapore, Hongkong (China), Japan, US West, US East, UK, Germany, Malaysia, Indonesia. Please refer to official document for more details.

Web Application Firewall

  • Feature: Enhanced Protection for AI Applications by Web Application Firewall (Oct. 10, 2025)

    • Customer Value: The AI application protection supports a content security inspection and allows customers to enable or disable specific inspection items as needed, without requiring changes to their business systems. This feature enables out-of-the-box capabilities for content compliance checking and protection. For prompt injection attacks, private data leakage, and non-compliant response content, you can configure response rewriting actions to prevent unexpected inputs to large models, meeting the compliance requirements of AI application users and helping them use AI applications more securely. Security Center

  • Feature: Intelligent Assistant Is Released (Sep. 01, 2025)

    • Customer Value: The LLM-based intelligent assistant helps customers address the use of Security Center and covers scenarios aimed at improving daily security operations efficiency. Please refer to official document for more details.

Cloud Firewall

  • Feature: Supports Certificate-based Encryption and Decryption.(Sep. 16, 2025)

    • Customer Value: Cloud Firewall now supports TLS/SSH certificate offloading and inspection configuration, providing protection against outbound encrypted traffic attacks in the cloud.

Certificate Management Service (Original SSL Certificate)

  • Feature: Public Domain Name Monitoring Support (Aug. 25, 2025)

    • Customer Value: Provides public domain name status monitoring for international site users, enabling timely detection of SSL certificate and domain security issues on websites. It includes periodic domain risk detection, report download functionality, and monthly report delivery, helping users improve business stability. For details, please refer to the official document.

ID Verification

  • Feature: ID Verification Is Available in the Indonesia (Jakarta) Region (Sep.16, 2025)

    • Customer Value: This helps enterprises that operate in the Indonesia (Jakarta) region meet compliance requirements and the regulatory requirements for cross-border data transfer. Please refer to official document for more details.

  • Feature: ID Verification Provides an Anti-duplicate Registration Face Solution to Create a Unique-account System（Sep.25, 2025）

    • Customer Value: In scenarios where customers restrict the same identity (face) to register only one account, such as in financial services, Web3 account opening, or real-person social media registration, users undergo facial liveness detection. The system then automatically checks if the face exists in the historical database to identify duplicate identities. This helps customers establish a unique identity-based account system and mitigates operational risks such as spam registrations and multiple account creations. Identity as a Service

  • Feature: Commercial Release of Machine Identity Management (M2M)

    • Customer Value: IDaaS enables machine identity and access management, addressing the authorization management challenges under traditional AK management mechanisms and preventing unauthorized access. For more details, please refer to the official document for more details.
