Alibaba Launches New Quark AI Glasses Series in China, Deeply Integrated with Qwen

Alibaba launched new Quark AI Glasses series—three stylish variants of the flagship dual-display S1 and three sleek versions of the camera-first G1, available in multiple frame colors and lens options. All models are deeply integrated with Alibaba’s advanced AI model Qwen and its newly launched AI application Qwen App, enabling users to access AI assistance anytime via voice commands like “Hello Qwen” or through touch controls.

Powered by Qwen, Quark AI Glasses provide intelligent, hands-free assistance for everyday life, combining voice and vision to enable real-time AI interactions. From instant price recognition and AI-powered Q&A (both text and image-based) to on-the-go translation, near-eye navigation, AI-generated meeting notes, smart reminders, live teleprompter, and context-aware support like finding nearby spots and managing schedules, the Glasses bring AI seamlessly into the physical world. Deeply integrated with Alibaba’s ecosystem including Alipay, Amap, Taobao, Fliggy, as well as China’s leading music streaming platforms like QQ Music and NetEase Cloud Music, they deliver a unified experience across shopping, travel, payments, music, and productivity.

This launch marks Alibaba’s another significant step to turn its advanced AI technologies into real-life applications in consumer AI market, positioning Qwen as the intelligent core of its expanding consumer ecosystem.

With Quark AI Glasses deeply integrated with Qwen, users can access Qwen anytime, anywhere, enabling the AI to connect seamlessly with the real world and deliver value at an unprecedented scale” ,said Wu.

According to IDC report, the global wearables market continues to show resilience and growth, with 136.5 million units shipped in Q2 2025, marking a 9.6% year-over-year increase from Q2 2024. China continues to be the largest market, with nearly 50 million units shipped, thanks to strong local brand performance and consumer appetite for new form factors.

The new Quark AI Glasses are now available for purchase on major Chinese e-commerce platforms including Tmall, JD.com and Douyin, and are rolling out in 604 partner optical stores across 82 cities nationwide in China.

Starting at ¥3,799, the Quark AI Glasses S1 offers a sleek, comfortable design for all-day wear. It features bright, clear dual micro-OLED displays, powerful dual chips, and advanced voice pickup with bone conduction technology. An industry-first swappable dual-battery system delivers up to 24 hours of battery life, ensuring users stay connected all day

Whether taking photos or recording videos, the S1 delivers stunning results thanks to 0.6- second instant photo capture, smooth 3K video, AI-enhanced 4K output, and standout low-light performance. Powered by Quark’s proprietary Super Raw technology, even nighttime shots come out clear and vivid.

The G1, starting at just ¥1,899, is built for everyday wear. It weighs just 40 grams and shares the S1’s core hardware except for the display, offering premium audio, imaging, and AI capabilities.

Quark AI Glasses also support for the standard MCP protocol that will empower third-party developers to build on the platform, helping growing a vibrant ecosystem of AI-powered applications.

First unveiled at this year’s World AI Conference in Shanghai, Quark AI Glasses are Alibaba’s first self-developed smart eyewear, powered by Qwen and enhanced with Quark’s multimodal AI capabilities.

Recently, Alibaba launched its latest consumer-facing AI application Qwen App, which surpassed 10 million downloads within the first week of public beta launch, becoming one of the fastest-growing AI applications to date. The company also just announced the deep integration of Qwen into its revamped Quark AI browser, further accelerating its push into the consumer AI market
