According to the weather prognosis, Mangkhut, the 22nd typhoon this year, will hit Guangdong and Hong Kong on September 16. Affected by this, the networks of operators in China South and Hong Kong may be unstable around September 16. Alibaba Cloud has implemented typhoon prevention measures strictly and launched special protection measures against typhoon, including strengthening data center security, paying close attention to network quality and cooperating with operators to implement disaster recovery, etc. In the meantime, it is also recommended that you have cross-regional disaster tolerance and application monitoring at the application layer.

According to the information of the meteorological department, the risk of the typhoon "Mangkhut" has been reduced. During the typhoon, the operation of Alibaba Cloud data centers in both South China and Hong Kong regions were stable. The risk has been relieved. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
In the meantime, it is recommended that you have a multi-AZ deployment at the application layer and necessary remote backup to deal with force majeure in the future.
