What's new
Security Center Basic Edition and Anti-ransomware module now support elastic protection, which uses a hybrid billing model that combines subscription and pay-as-you-go billing.
When actual usage does not exceed the purchased quota, the billing model remains unchanged and no additional fees are incurred.
Within the purchased quota: Protection continues based on your existing subscription plan. No additional charges are incurred.
Exceeding the purchased quota: The excess is automatically covered by elastic protection and billed on a pay-as-you-go basis (post-paid). No manual scale-up or supplemental orders are required.
Module | Elastic billing metric | Description |
Basic Edition | Number of protected host cores | When the number of protected host cores exceeds the purchased quota, the excess cores are billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. |
Anti-ransomware module | Backup capacity | When the backup capacity in use exceeds the purchased quota, the excess capacity is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. |
