Operation description

Before you call this operation, make sure that you understand the billing method and pricing of GWLB.

UpdateLoadBalancerZones is an asynchronous operation. After you call this operation, the system returns a request ID, but the zones and zone attributes of the GWLB instance are not yet modified. The modification task runs in the background. You can call GetLoadBalancerAttribute to query the update status of the GWLB instance:

If the GWLB instance is in the Configuring state, the zones are being updated.
If the GWLB instance is in the Active state, the zones are updated.

Important When you call this operation, you must pass in all zone parameters for the GWLB instance, including existing and new zones. If you omit existing zone parameters, those zones are removed. You can call GetLoadBalancerAttribute to query the current zones of the instance.

RAM authorization

The table below describes the authorization required to call this API. You can define it in a Resource Access Management (RAM) policy. The table's columns are detailed below:

Action: The actions can be used in the Action element of RAM permission policy statements to grant permissions to perform the operation.
API: The API that you can call to perform the action.
Access level: The predefined level of access granted for each API. Valid values: create, list, get, update, and delete.
Resource type: The type of the resource that supports authorization to perform the action. It indicates if the action supports resource-level permission. The specified resource must be compatible with the action. Otherwise, the policy will be ineffective.
