Deeper is an AI-generated content (AIGC) fraud detection feature for ZOLOZ eKYC products. It combines multimodal detection algorithms, terminal injection security, and dynamic risk control to identify deepfake and synthetic identity attacks across the full verification pipeline.
What is Deeper?
Deeper is an integrated terminal-cloud full-link AIGC detection feature offered by ZOLOZ. It combines multimodal algorithms, terminal injection security detection, and dynamic risk control strategies to identify AIGC fraud risks across multiple dimensions during the eKYC process. Deeper is not a standalone product — it is an enhanced feature for products such as RealID, Face Capture, and Connect that requires a separate purchase to activate.
Product capabilities
AIGC detection algorithm
Deepfake attacks manipulate or fabricate the identity documents, facial images, and videos that users submit during eKYC. Deeper applies multimodal algorithms to detect the following threat types:
ID documents, facial images, and videos tampered or fabricated using deepfake techniques.
AI-generated documents, facial images, and videos that do not correspond to any real person or physical entity.
Batch-generated ID document images derived from template passport photos using AI tools.
Fabricated live face images and videos produced through AI face swapping.
Terminal injection security detection
Injection attacks bypass the camera entirely: instead of presenting a deepfake to the camera, an attacker injects a synthetic video feed directly into the verification application's pipeline. Deeper performs terminal risk detection throughout the eKYC process to identify and block these attacks. Detection covers three dimensions:
Device risks: rooting, debugging, hooking, repackaging, and custom ROMs.
Link risks: replay attacks and data forgery.
Terminal attack methods: camera hijacking and interface injection.
Risk control and counter-strategies
Deeper integrates with the risk control engine to detect deepfake and injection attack risks across the full data pipeline. ZOLOZ continuously iterates and deploys counter-strategies based on attack clues unearthed in its ongoing battle against fraud — enabling real-time interception of abnormal images, logs, and other anomalies.
Enable Deeper
After purchasing Deeper, enable it by setting the deeperMode parameter in the initialize API. Retrieve business results and Deeper-specific description fields through the checkresult API.

Advantages
AIGC fraud prevention
ZOLOZ received first-batch, highest-priority Deepfake Detection Solution certification from the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology (CAICT), confirming that its deepfake detection capabilities meet the trustworthy capability requirements in terms of security, reliability, transparency, and data protection.
ZOLOZ holds ISO/IEC 30107-3 certificates at both iBeta Level 1 and iBeta Level 2, achieved through its performance in facial liveness detection and Presentation Attack Detection (PAD).
Multi-platform support
Deeper integrates on iOS, Android, and Web platforms and supports deployment across apps, WeChat H5, and mobile browsers.
Production deployment
Deeper has been deployed in core business scenarios across domestic and international banking, e-commerce, and other industries.
Use cases
Remote identity verification
For online account opening and registration flows in financial services, insurance, healthcare, education, transportation, life services, and other industries, Deeper adds AIGC detection to identity document and facial recognition checks. This reduces the risk of fraudulent account creation, lowers financial exposure, helps meet regulatory requirements, and prevents public opinion risks.
Account login
In payment and identity verification scenarios — including offline payments, online payments, and identity verification — Deeper validates that facial recognition results correspond to a live, real person. This prevents stolen images from being used to forge identities, protecting both institutions and users from information leakage and financial loss.
