This topic describes how to troubleshoot issues if the width and height of the transcoded file are opposite to those configured in the transcoding template.

Problem description

After media transcoding is performed, the width and height of the transcoded file are opposite to those of the transcoding template.

Solution

  1. The parameters of a transcoded file are the opposite of those in the template. The parameters of a transcoded video are as follows:

  2. The transcoding template parameters are as follows.

  3. The width and height parameters of the transcoded file are opposite to those configured in the applied transcoding template. Troubleshoot the issues. A possible reason is that the original video contains the Rotation parameter. In this case, the template rotates the video first and then transcodes it.

  4. The Rotation parameter of the original video takes effect during transcoding and is removed from the transcoded file.
