Before regular users can use paid applications in the Elastic Desktop Service (EDS) console, the regular users must be authorized. This topic describes how to authorize regular users to use an application.

Background information

The provider of an application can issue licenses to users to permit the use of the application. In most cases, to use a paid application, users must purchase licenses. Alibaba Cloud associates paid applications with regular users. When the administrator purchases the paid applications and authorizes regular users to use the applications, the regular users are issued the licenses of the applications.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the EDS console.
  2. In the top navigation bar, select a region.
  3. In the left-side navigation pane, choose Apps > App Management > Paid Application.
  4. On the Paid Applications page, find the application that you want to manage and click Grant Permission in the Actions column.
  5. In the Grant Permission panel, select the number of regular users to be authorized and click Next.
  6. Select regular users based on the account types.
    Note
    • The number of authorized regular users must be less than or equal to that of regular users to be authorized.
    • If you authorized specific regular users to install applications, you can select the authorized regular users.
    1. Set Select Account to Convenience Account or AD Account based on your business requirements.
    2. Optional: If you select AD Account, select an AD domain.
    3. Select one or more regular users from the user list on the left side.
    4. Click the 001 icon to add the selected regular user to the user list on the right side.
  7. Click OK.
