This topic describes how to use vouchers.
What is a voucher?
A voucher is a type of financial credit that Alibaba Cloud provides to customers in the form of a virtual coupon. You can use vouchers to offset the costs of cloud products.
View your vouchers
Go to and click the Coupons tab. This page lists all your coupons and their details, including serial numbers, face values, remaining balances, applicable products, spending limits, statuses, and validity periods.
If you log on as an enterprise administrator, you can switch the account in the search criteria to view vouchers for other accounts in your enterprise.
To become an Enterprise Administrator, you must enable corporate organization management.
To view coupons for other accounts, the administrator must have permissions to manage both coupons and the corresponding Cash Accounts.
In the Actions column, click View Details to go to the Coupon Usage Details page. On this page, you can view detailed information about the voucher, including its transaction ID, transaction type, face value, and balance.
You can also search for voucher details by Usage Time.
Click 
to export the usage details of the voucher.
Use a voucher
On the payment page for a cloud product order, the system automatically matches applicable vouchers based on the order's Product, Payment Type, and Order Amount.
Only applicable vouchers are displayed below the order information and can be used for payment. If multiple vouchers are available, select the one that you want to use.
You can use only one voucher per order.
If multiple vouchers are applicable, the default offset order is: largest balance > earliest expiration date > earliest issuance date.
If a voucher has a remaining balance after you pay for an order, you can use the balance for future purchases before the voucher expires. If the voucher value is not enough to cover the order amount, you must pay the difference from your cash account.
Select an available voucher on the payment page. Vouchers are not displayed on the order confirmation page.

How to obtain vouchers
Vouchers are issued directly to your account. If you use the new console, log on and go to . Then, click the Coupons tab to view information about your vouchers, including their serial numbers, face values, balances, applicable products, and applicable scenarios. If you use the old Expenses and Costs console, click Coupon Management in the navigation pane on the left.
Voucher scope of use
Applicable products: All products on the Alibaba Cloud official website (except for Cloud OS), such as ECS, OSS, ApsaraDB RDS, Domain Names, and mailboxes.
Vouchers for general-purpose products have the same product applicability as coupons. However, some products are not applicable. For a list of products that are not applicable, see List of products not applicable to general-purpose coupons.
Applicable consumption types: New purchases, renewals, upgrades, operating system replacements, and conversions from trial to paid.
NoteThe applicable products and purchase types for coupons may vary based on the channel or promotion. To confirm how a coupon can be used, refer to its Applicable Products and Applicable Scenarios information on the CouponsCoupons tab, or check the coupons that the system automatically applies on the Order Payment page.
Can I use a voucher to pay for a renewal?
A coupon can be used only for its applicable products and scenarios. You can log on to the Management Console, and on the Coupons tab, view the Applicable Products, Applicable Scenarios, and Validity Period information for your coupons. A valid coupon can be used to pay for a renewal if its Applicable Products is the product that you want to purchase or General, and its Applicable Scenarios includes Renewal or is General.
On the renewal payment page, the system automatically matches applicable vouchers. You can select the voucher that you want to use or choose not to use any voucher.
Can I get an invoice for the amount paid with a voucher?
The amount paid with a voucher cannot be invoiced.
Can vouchers be returned or exchanged after use?
Vouchers cannot be returned or exchanged after use.
For example, you purchase an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance that is eligible for a five-day unconditional refund and use a voucher for the payment. If you request the five-day unconditional refund, the amount paid with the voucher is not refunded, and the voucher is not reissued.
Starting from 10:00 (UTC+8) on November 20, 2025, Alibaba Cloud will gradually update the refund rules for subscription products. After the update, when you request a refund for a subscription product purchased with a coupon, a proportional amount of the coupon's value is returned to your account. For more information, see Announcement on the Upgrade of Refund Rules for Subscription Products.
Starting from 10:00 on August 19, 2025 (UTC+8), Alibaba Cloud will gradually upgrade the refund rules for public cloud resource plans. If you use a voucher to pay for a resource plan, the voucher can be refunded in proportion to the payment structure when you unsubscribe from the resource plan.
