1. Overview
Prepayment is a payment method provided by Alibaba Cloud for Indian customers to facilitate online transactions. This payment method can be used for fund management and consumption. If you are an Indian customer and want to purchase a specific Alibaba Cloud service, you can make prepayment and use the prepayment method to purchase resources on Alibaba Cloud.
2. How to add funds to the prepayment balance
2.1 Go to the Prepayment Balance section on the Account Overview page
In this section, you can view the prepayment balance, add funds to the prepayment balance, and query the usage records of the prepayment balance.

2.2 Add funds to the prepayment balance
You can use Paytm to add funds to your prepayment account, or transfer funds to the prepayment account from your bank account.
To add funds to prepayment balance, you must specify the amount to be added, the Alibaba Cloud service for which the funds are to be used, and the description of the fund adding.
If you use Paytm to add funds to your prepayment account, the funds can be added to the prepayment balance in real time. If you transfer funds to the prepayment account from a bank account, the arrival time depends on the time that the bank takes to process the transfer. To prevent the risk of downtime or inability to place an order due to insufficient balance, we recommend that you transfer funds to the prepayment account in advance.

3. How to use the prepayment balance
After funds are added to the prepayment balance, you can use the prepayment balance for consumption.
You can use the prepayment balance to pay for subscription or pay-as-you-go orders.
When you add funds to the prepayment balance, you have specified the Alibaba Cloud service for which the prepayment balance is to be used. However, you can use the prepayment balance to pay for any Alibaba Cloud service that you want to purchase based on your business requirements.
4. How to query the usage records of the prepayment balance
You can query the usage records of the prepayment balance in the Prepayment Details page on the Account Overview page. You can query the records of adding funds to the prepayment balance and the detailed transactions paid by using the prepayment balance.

5. How to withdraw the prepayment balance
If you have excess prepayment balance and no longer need to use the prepayment balance, you can submit a ticket to withdraw the prepayment balance 90 days later after funds are added to the prepayment balance.
