Resolve the "base domain name missing" validation error that occurs when you upload a CSR file to apply for an SSL certificate.
Symptom
When you upload a Certificate Signing Request (CSR) file to apply for an SSL certificate, the system reports a validation failure due to a missing base domain name.
Cause
The Common Name field in the CSR file is incorrectly configured.
Solution
Re-create the CSR file with the correct Common Name and upload it again.
Note
The Common Name must be the base domain name bound to the certificate. For a valid CSR, use the system to auto-generate the file. This also lets you download the issued certificate in multiple formats.
