NLB resource plans are subscription packages that automatically cover instance fees and LCU fees across all NLB instances in your account, with no additional setup required. Resource plans offer greater discounts than pay-as-you-go billing.

Supported areas and regions
When purchasing a resource plan, you select an area (a geographic grouping of regions). All NLB instances across regions within that area share the plan quota.
Resource plans cannot be used across areas. To cover both the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong (China) and outside China areas, purchase separate plans for each area.

Coverage rules
Covered fees
Resource plans cover NLB instance fees and LCU fees. They cannot cover Internet data transfer fees.

Instance fees: Consumed at a rate of 4 LCU per hour.

LCU fees: Consumed at a 1:1 ratio based on actual usage.
Multiple resource plans
If you have multiple plans, the one expiring soonest is consumed first.
Excess usage
Usage beyond the plan quota is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.
Purchase a resource plan

Go to the NLB resource plan buy page.

Set the following parameters to complete your purchase.

Takes effect immediately after purchase or at a specified time. Activates on the hour.

Unsubscribe from a resource plan
NLB resource plans support a 5-day unconditional refund for unused plans and partial refunds. For more information, see Resource plan introduction and selection.
View plans and manage alerts
In the NLB console, go to the NLB resource plans page and click My resource plans to open the plan management page in Expenses and Costs. You can:

On the Instances tab, view existing plans.

On the Details tab, view plan usage details.

Click Set Remaining Quota Alert to configure usage alerts. When a plan's remaining quota reaches the threshold, the system sends a notification by email or in-console message. Enable notification channels in the Message Center console.
