This topic describes how to view the resource quota and usage in the Classic Load
Balancer (CLB) console. If the quota on a resource cannot meet your business requirements,
you can request a quota increase.
Request a quota increase
Some resources do not support quota increases. You can log on to the console to view
the resources that support quota increases.
- Log on to the CLB console.
- In the left-side navigation pane, click Quota Management.
- On the Quota Management page, you can view the usage of the CLB resources and the privileges of your account.
- On the Quota Management page, click Submit Application in the Actions column. In the Apply dialog box, set the following parameters and click OK.

Parameter |
Description |
Quota Name |
The name and description of the current quota are displayed. |
Current Quota |
The current quota is displayed. |
Requested Value |
Enter a value to which you want to increase the quota. The value must be a number
that is greater than the current quota.
For more information about the quotas of CLB resources, see Limits.
|
Reason for application |
Enter the reason why you want to increase the quota, including the scenarios and requirements.
|
Email |

The system automatically reviews your application after you submit it. You can check
whether your application is approved based on the application state:
Rejected or
Approved. After your application is approved, the quota is increased to the specified value.
To view the quota increase history, click History in the Actions column.
What do I do if the quota increase cannot meet my business requirements?
If you need more high-performance CLB instances but the highest quota increase that
you can request in the console still cannot meet your business requirements, you can
apply for a privilege.
- In the left-side navigation pane, click Quota Management.
- On the Quota Management page, find the slb_privilege_allow_more_guaranteed_performance_instances privilege and click Submit Application in the Actions column.
This privilege allows you to create more high-performance CLB instances. However,
the privilege does not apply to the quota of shared-resource CLB instances.

- In the Apply for Permission dialog box, set the following parameters and click OK.
Parameter |
Description |
Privilege Name |
The name and description of the current privilege are displayed. |
Reason |
Enter the reason why you want to increase the quota, including the scenarios and requirements.
|
Email |
Enter the email address of the applicant. |
After your application is approved, you can create more high-performance CLB instances.
