Starting April 2020, Alibaba Cloud stops providing free high-performance Server Load Balancer (SLB) instances of the smallest size: slb.s1.small. You are charged for SLB instances of the smallest size that are created after April 2020. The unit price of this size is USD 0.006 per hour. The price may vary by region. For more information, see Billing of pay-as-you-go instances. The following section describes the billing rules:
You are charged a specification fee for SLB instances of the smallest size that are purchased after the effective billing date.
SLB instances of the smallest size that are purchased before the effective billing date are free of charge. If you modify the specification of an SLB instance after the effective billing date, you are charged a specification fee.
If a pay-as-you-go SLB instance is downgraded from larger sizes to the smallest size after the effective billing date, you are charged a specification fee based on the smallest size. For more information, see Billing of pay-as-you-go SLB instances.
The preceding adjustment will be applied from April 2020. The effective billing date may vary by region and site. We recommend that you pay close attention to your bills.
