If the rollback on failure feature is disabled when you create a stack and the stack is in the Creation Failed state after you complete the create operation, you can still create the stack.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the ROS console.
  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click Stacks.
  3. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region in which the stack that you want to use is deployed from the drop-down list.
  4. On the Stacks page, find the stack in the Creation Failed state and click Continue in the Actions column.
  5. In the Continue dialog box, set the Continue mode parameter based on the cause of the failure and your business requirements, and click OK.
    • Continue: If a stack fails to be created due to reasons such as insufficient quota balance, unavailability of services, throttling, insufficient resources, and overdue payments, you can select Continue.
    • Discard: If you no longer need the stacks that are in the Creation Failed state or the stacks that contain no resources, you can click Discard to ignore and discard these stacks and directly switch the status of these stacks to Successful.
Note The Discard option is available only for stacks of the ROS type.
    • Advanced Options: If the template content or the parameter settings are invalid, you can select Advanced Options and correct the template content or parameter settings based on your business requirements.
      1. (Optional) In the Select Resources step, select the resources that you want to clear and recreate, and click Next.
Note You can configure parameters in the Select Resources step only for stacks of the ROS type.
      2. In the Prepare Template section, select Use Existing Template or Replace Current Template, and click Next.

For information about how to select a template to replace the current template, see Create a stack.

      3. In the Parameter Settings section, update the parameter values, and click Next.
      4. In the Configure Stack step, configure Maximum Concurrent Resources and RAM Role, and click Next. The Maximum Concurrent Resources parameter is optional.
Note You can set the Maximum Concurrent Resources parameter only for stacks of the Terraform type.
      5. In the Check and Confirm step, confirm the settings such as the template, parameters, and RAM role. Then, click Confirm.
