ApsaraDB RDS:Use Task Center

Last Updated:Mar 28, 2026

Task Center gives you a single place to monitor ongoing operations and review historical tasks for your ApsaraDB RDS instances. From the Task Center page, you can track task progress, filter tasks by status or keyword, and reschedule the switchover time for tasks that are pending execution.

Important

Task Center supports ApsaraDB RDS for MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server. Tasks older than 30 days are not displayed.

Supported tasks and operations

The following tables list the tasks and operations that Task Center supports, organized by database engine and disk type.

FAQ

Why does my task progress appear stuck?

Task progress is displayed as a percentage and does not advance linearly. The rate depends on the task type, data volume, workload, and host resources. If the progress bar has not moved for a while, a time-consuming backend operation is likely in progress — such as data migration, backup, file download, or a major engine version upgrade. The task will continue; no action is needed.

Why doesn't my task appear in Task Center after I perform an operation?

Task Center only displays tasks for supported operations. If the operation is not in the supported tasks list for your engine and disk type, no task entry is created. Tasks generated before Task Center was released also do not appear.

Can I cancel an ongoing task?

No. Ongoing tasks cannot be cancelled because they may involve backend operations such as refunds, data migration, or instance switchovers.
