:Query and respond to RDS Custom system events

Last Updated:Nov 28, 2025

This topic describes how to query and respond to RDS Custom system events through the RDS Custom Event Center.

Query and respond to system events

  1. Log on to the RDS Management Console.

  2. In the navigation pane on the left, click RDS Custom > Event Center, and then select a region in the top navigation bar.

  3. Based on the event type, select the Scheduled Events or Unexpected Events tab to view detailed information about the events.

    • You can filter events by Event Status, Instance ID, Publication Time, and other criteria.

    • The number displayed on the event type tab or event status button indicates the number of pending system events in that category.

    Note

For more information, see System event types and System event statuses.

  4. Respond to system events.

Different system events recommend different response methods. You can follow the instructions in the Operation column of the console to complete the operations yourself, or wait for the system to execute them automatically.

To restart an instance when responding to an event, you must do so through the console (Restart an instance) or OpenAPI (RebootRCInstance) for the operation to take effect.
