PolarDB:Enable cold data archiving

This topic describes how to enable the cold data archiving feature for a cluster and how to view the information of the cold data archived in Object Storage Service (OSS).

Prerequisites

  • The cluster is of Cluster Edition and uses one of the following PolarDB for MySQL versions:

    • PolarDB for MySQL 8.0.1.1.31 or later

    • PolarDB for MySQL 8.0.2.2.9 or later

  • The cluster is of Multi-master Cluster (Database/Table) Edition and uses PolarDB for MySQL 8.0.1.0.13 or later.

Enable cold data archiving

  1. Log on to the PolarDB console.

  2. In the upper-left corner of the PolarDB console, select the region in which the cluster that you want to manage is deployed.

  3. On the Clusters page, click the name of the cluster.

  4. In the left-side navigation paneSettings and Management > Data Lifecycle.

  5. On the Data Archive (Cold Data) tab, click Enable.

View the information of the cold data archived in OSS

After you enable the cold data archiving feature, you can view information about the cold data archived in OSS buckets on the Cold Data Archiving page, including the amount of archived cold data and information about the databases and tables that have been archived.冷数据归档信息
