:Access paths

Last Updated:May 07, 2026

Add favorite paths to quickly access Object Storage Service (OSS) resources, including buckets and directories. Your historical paths show which OSS resources in your Alibaba Cloud account you frequently access.

Favorite paths

  1. Log on to the OSS console.

  2. In the left-side navigation pane, click the plus sign (+) next to Favorite Paths.

  3. In the Add Favorite Paths panel, configure the following parameters.

    Parameter

    Description

    Adding Method

    • Add from my buckets: Add a bucket created in your Alibaba Cloud account to your favorite paths.

    • Add from other authorized buckets: Add a bucket that you are authorized to access to your favorite paths.

    region

Select the region where the target bucket is located.

    bucket

Enter the name of the target bucket.

    File Path

Enter the authorized path to the objects. This parameter is required only when you select Add from other authorized buckets.

For example, if you are authorized to access objects or subdirectories in the examplebucket bucket's examplefolder directory, enter oss://examplebucket/examplefolder/.

    Pay-by-requester

If the authorized bucket has Pay-by-requester enabled and you are not the bucket owner, you must select I understand and agree. Otherwise, you will receive an AccessDenied error when you attempt to access the resources at the specified file path. After you select this option, you can access the resources, and you will be charged for the resulting traffic and requests.

    For more information, see Pay-by-requester.

  4. Click OK.

After you add a file path, click the path name to go directly to that location. Click the 置顶 icon next to a path to pin it to the top of the list. Click the 删除 icon to delete the path.

Historical paths

  1. Log on to the OSS console.

  2. The Historical Paths section in the left-side navigation pane lists the 10 most recent access paths that OSS automatically saves.
