Renewal information
Description:
Renewal extends the service period of a subscription instance. Pay-as-you-go instances do not expire and do not require renewal. For both instance types, ensure your Alibaba Cloud account has a sufficient balance.
Pricing:
The renewal fee is the same as the purchase price of a new instance. For more information, see Billing overview for OpenSearch Industry Algorithm Edition.
Payment deduction:
Auto-renewal: The first payment deduction occurs at 08:00 on the ninth day before the instance expires. If the payment fails, the system will attempt to deduct the fee once per day until the expiration date or until the payment is successful. Ensure your Alibaba Cloud account has a sufficient balance. If your instance is set to expire the next day, you must renew it manually. If you manually renew an instance before its scheduled auto-renewal date, the system will perform the next auto-renewal based on the new expiration date.
Manual renewal: Payment is made manually at the time of renewal.

Manual renewal
Pay-as-you-go instances do not expire and do not require renewal. However, subscription instances have an expiration date. If you do not renew a subscription instance before it expires, you may experience service interruptions or data loss. You can manually renew a subscription instance before it expires or within 7 days after expiration to extend its service period.
Renew a single instance
Log on to the OpenSearch Industry Algorithm Edition console. In the application list, find the target subscription instance and click the Renew button in the Actions column.
On the Renewal page, select a renewal duration.
Select the OpenSearch Subscription Service Terms checkbox, click Go to Pay, and then complete the payment.
Renew multiple instances in a batch
Log on to the OpenSearch Industry Algorithm Edition console. In the upper-right corner of the console, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.
On the page that appears, find OpenSearch Subscription in the Commodty Name column.
On the Manual Renewal, Auto-renewal, or Nonrenewal upon Expiration tab, select multiple instances and click Batch Renew.
In the Renewal Duration column, select a duration By Year or By Month, or click Batch Modify to select a duration.
Click Go to Pay and complete the payment.
Enable or modify auto-renewal
Enabling auto-renewal eliminates the need for periodic manual renewals and helps prevent service interruptions caused by forgetting to renew.

Enable auto-renewal when purchasing an instance
When you purchase a subscription instance, you can select Auto-renewal.
Enable auto-renewal after purchasing an instance
After you enable auto-renewal, the system automatically renews the instance for the selected renewal duration. For example, if you select a 3-month renewal duration, a fee for a 3-month period is charged for each auto-renewal.
Log on to the OpenSearch Industry Algorithm Edition console.
In the upper-right corner of the console, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.
On the page that appears, find OpenSearch Subscription in the Product column. On the Manual Renewal or Nonrenewal tab, find the target instance, and click Enable Auto-renewal on the right.
In the dialog box that appears, select an Auto-renewal Duration and click Enable Auto-renewal.
Modify the auto-renewal duration
1. Log on to the OpenSearch Industry Algorithm Edition console. In the upper-right corner of the console, choose Expenses > Renewal Management.
2. On the page that appears, find OpenSearch Subscription in the Product column.
3. Click the Auto-renewal tab, find the target instance, and click Modify Auto-renewal on the right.
4. In the dialog box that appears, modify the Auto-renewal Duration and click OK.
Effects of expiration or overdue payments

Notes:
To avoid service interruptions, renew your subscription instance before it expires or enable auto-renewal.
Ensure your account has a sufficient balance.
After an instance is frozen, data writing and search services become unavailable.
