This topic describes how to use CloudOps Orchestration Service (OOS) to scale up disks, modify disks, and create snapshots for disks in batches.
Procedure
Choose Automated Tasks>Common O&M Tasks>Manage Multiple Disks at a Time and click Create.

In the Task Type section of the Create Task Manage Multiple Disks at a Time page, select a task type and set the parameters.
The parameters to be set vary with the task type.
Scale up multiple disks at a time
ImportantYou may be charged for the disk during the configuration change. For more information, see Billing of cloud disks.
You cannot shrink an extended disk after the new disk size takes effect. We recommend that you plan for storage space based on your business requirements.
To prevent data loss caused by accidental operations, make sure that you have created snapshots for the disk to back up disk data. If no snapshot is created, create one. For more information, see Create a snapshot.
If you set Task Type to Scale up Multiple Disks at a Time, you must specify the scale-up method and the capacity size.
Method to Scale up Disks: you can select Online or Offline.
If you select Offline, you must restart the instance in the console or call an APi operation to make the operation take effect.
Online resizing: After you resize the disk, the new size automatically takes effect without the need to restart the associated instance.
Cloud Disk Capacity Size: Valid values are 20 to 32768 GiB.
Modify the specifications of multiple disks at a time
ImportantYou may be charged for the disk during the configuration change. For more information, see Billing of cloud disks.
We recommend that you change the configuration of a disk during off-peak hours. The performance of a disk is affected by the instance to which the disk is attached.
If you select Task Type to Modify Specifications of Multiple Disks at a Time, you also need to specify the disk type and the performance level.
Disk Type: You can specify ESSD, ESSD AutoPL Disk, Standard SSD, and Ultra Disk.
Disk Performance Level: You can specify PL0, PL1, PL2, and PL3. For more information , see Block storage performance.
Create multiple snapshots for a disk at a time
ImportantYou may be charged for the disk during the configuration change. For more information, see Billing of cloud disks.
When you create a snapshot, do not modify the status of the ECS instance. For example, if you stop or restart an ECS instance, the snapshot fails to be created.
If you set Task Type to Create Multiple Snapshots for a Disk at a Time, you must also specify the retention period of the snapshot.
Retention Period of Snapshot: Valid values are 1 to 65536 days. The snapshot is automatically deleted upon its expiration.
In the Select Disk section, select a disk.

(Optional). Set the parameters in the Advanced and Execution Settings sections.
In the Advanced section, specify Rate control type and Error Threshold to control the execution of the task.
NoteFor more information about concurrency control, see Loop.
In the Execution Settings section, select a tag, a resource group, execution mode, and whether to save the task as a template for later use.
Click Create. In the Parameter Confirmation message, confirm the information and click OK.
After the task is created, you can click the task ID in the Execution ID column to view the details.
