NAT Gateway:Announcement on service suspension of standard Internet NAT gateways

Before standard Internet NAT gateways are discontinued, Alibaba Cloud takes the following measures based on the usage of your standard Internet NAT gateways:

• If no traffic flows through your standard Internet NAT gateways within the last month, the system will automatically release your standard Internet NAT gateways.

• If you are still using standard Internet NAT gateways, the system will automatically upgrade them to enhanced Internet NAT gateways.

  • If the Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instances in the virtual private cloud (VPC) where your standard Internet NAT gateways are deployed use multiple elastic network interfaces (ENIs) and are associated with elastic IP addresses (EIPs), make sure that routes are correctly configured for the ECS instances. This way, traffic can flow through the ENIs. For more information, see Configure a secondary ENI.

  • After your standard Internet NAT gateways are upgraded to enhanced Internet NAT gateways, the billing method remains the same. Your services may be interrupted for 1 to 2 seconds during the upgrade.
