Impact
You can no longer purchase new local SSD instances of ApsaraDB for MongoDB 4.0 and 4.2 in US regions from the product purchase page.
You can no longer create new local SSD instances of ApsaraDB for MongoDB 4.0 and 4.2 in US regions by cloning an instance or restoring an instance from the recycle bin.
You can no longer perform operations such as switching billing methods, migrating zones, or changing configurations for your existing local SSD instances of ApsaraDB for MongoDB 4.0 and 4.2 in US regions.
Recommendations
If you require a new ApsaraDB for MongoDB instance, purchase an instance with a newer MongoDB version (4.4, 5.0, 6.0, 7.0, or 8.0) that uses cloud disk storage. For more information, see Create a replica set instance and Create a sharded cluster instance.
