Procedure

Log on to the Alibaba Cloud Model Studio console with your Alibaba Cloud account.

Read and agree to the Model Management Service Agreement by selecting the check box, then click Confirm Activation. Wait until Model Studio is activated.
If you want to use the models in Alibaba Cloud Model Studio, you must also activate the following services and create an API key that is used to call models:

Activate Model Studio Large Model Inference to call all foundation models in Model Gallery. Charges are based on token consumption.

The activation dialog lists billable models. New models are automatically added to your activated services -- no reactivation needed.

Billing updates for new models appear in the console.

After activation, you'll receive SMS confirmation for Model Studio Large Model Inference.

1. Can I activate Alibaba Cloud Model Studio as a RAM user?
Yes, but the RAM user must have the AliyunSFMFullAccess policy attached. For details, see Authorize a RAM user to manage services in Model Studio.
2. How do I isolate the business data of different business lines?
Grant workspace permissions to different RAM users to isolate business data. For details, see Manage workspaces.
3. What billing methods does Alibaba Cloud Model Studio support?
It supports pay-as-you-go or subscription.
4. What do I do if a message appears to inform me that the available balance of my account is less than zero when I activate Alibaba Cloud Model Studio?
Ensure your account balance is at least zero. Add funds if needed, then try again.
5. Will I receive text messages after I activate Alibaba Cloud Model Studio?
Yes. You'll receive SMS confirming activation of Model Studio Large Model Training, Deployment, and Inference.
