This topic describes how to create, delete, update, and view instances in the Message Queue for Apache RocketMQ console.

Background information

An instance is a virtual machine that provides the Message Queue for Apache RocketMQ service. An instance stores topics and group IDs.

Message Queue for Apache RocketMQ provides instances of the Standard Edition and the Enterprise Platinum Edition based on specifications. You can select the Standard Edition or the Enterprise Platinum Edition based on your business requirements. For more information about the specifications and billing methods of Standard Edition instances and Enterprise Platinum Edition instances, see Instance editions and Overview.

You can change the resource processing method by configuring Post-release Action after you receive the refund of your Enterprise Platinum Edition instance or after the instance is released. For more information, see Configure the post-release action for an instance.
