  • Limited resources.

Due to architectural limitations, shared resource groups for Data Transmission Service cannot guarantee resources for every tenant. In rare cases during peak hours, you might not be able to obtain resources from the shared group, causing your jobs to fail.

  • Limited maximum concurrency.

To ensure stable service from public resources, a limit is placed on the maximum concurrency available to each customer. This limit varies by region.

Upgrades and downgrades

You can upgrade or downgrade your purchased exclusive resource groups for Data Transmission Service. The following policies apply to upgrades and downgrades.

  • Upgrade policy

    • Scenario: If the number of concurrent connections in your current exclusive resource group for Data Transmission Service is insufficient to meet your business needs, you can upgrade the resource group by purchasing more concurrent connections.

    • How an upgrade takes effect: After a successful upgrade, the incrementally purchased concurrent connections are allocated to the service group quota as dedicated resources. The upgrade takes effect immediately and can be used for data transmission tasks. When you purchase an upgrade, you can purchase up to 500 concurrent connections on the purchase page. If you want to purchase more, go to the Privilege Quotas page. In the Privilege Quota List, find the quota with the Quota Name MaxCompute Subscription Resources Purchase Over The Default Maximum and submit a request. After the request is approved, you can make the purchase.

    • Billing cycle: Billing for the incrementally purchased concurrent connections starts when the upgrade takes effect and ends when the subscription expires.

  • Downgrade policy

    • Scenario: If you have surplus concurrent connections in your exclusive resource group for Data Transmission Service and do not expect to use them in the future, you can downgrade the resource group to release the surplus connections.

      Important

Promptly release resources that are no longer needed. Otherwise, you will continue to be charged for them, regardless of whether they are used.

    • Refund policy: After a successful downgrade, the resources are released immediately. A refund is issued to your payment account. The refund amount is prorated based on the remaining subscription duration of the released resources.
