On August 29, Gartner, an international marketing research company, released the first "Magic Quadrant for AI Code Assistants" report, which includes a total of 12 shortlisted enterprises worldwide. Alibaba Cloud is the only Chinese vendor positioned in the Challengers quadrant. AI Coding Assistant performed exceptionally in product features and market applications, earning recognition from authoritative institutions.
The report evaluates the capabilities of enterprise AI code assistants across 15 criteria, including technological innovation, service capabilities, and business models, and is the most authoritative AI code assistant report to date. In August 2024, Alibaba Cloud's AI Coding Assistant participated in the first round of CAICT's trustworthy AI coding tool assessment and received a 4+ rating, becoming one of the first companies in China to pass this assessment and receive the current highest rating. This assessment covers 5 features, 15 sub-features, and 201 feature requirements. Areas scored include intelligent coding, code quality check, developer assistance, non-functional items, and engineering capabilities.
According to the assessment, AI Coding Assistant has comprehensive functions with high accuracy and can provide users with a high-quality and smooth experience. In terms of performance indicators, its response speed, concurrent processing capability, and system stability all show excellent performance.
