    This topic describes how to enable the Stream Engine after you create a Lindorm instance.

    Prerequisites

    You have created a Lindorm instance. For more information, see Create an instance.

    Limits

    You can enable the Stream Engine only for Lindorm instances that use the subscription billing method.

    Procedure

    1. Log on to the Lindorm console.

    2. In the upper-left corner of the page, select the region where the instance is deployed.

    3. On the Instances page, click the ID of the target instance or click View Instance Details in the Actions column for the instance.

    4. In the left navigation pane, click Stream Engine.

    5. Click Activate Now.

    6. On the Upgrade/Downgrade page, configure the node specifications and the number of nodes for the Stream Engine and select the Terms of Service checkbox.

    7. After you complete the configuration, click Buy Now. The status of the target Lindorm instance changes to RESIZING. The process takes 5 to 10 minutes. When the instance status changes to Running, the instance is ready for use.
