When you migrate resources from shared Key Management Service (KMS) to KMS instances, take note that the billing methods vary between the two. Different instance types in different billing methods can incur different fees. This topic describes fees for common scenarios covering various instance specifications in different billing methods, helping you select the right instance type and billing method for your needs.

Default instance fees

The KMS instances can be purchased in a default specification. The following table lists the default fees for the default specification (unit price: USD per month):

Note

The access management quantity includes the number of accounts to which the KMS instance is shared and the number of VPCs that are associated with the instance. For example, if you want to associate the instance with two VPCs and share the instance with three accounts, set the access management quantity to 5 when you purchase instances.

Billable items

The additional quotas can be purchased for QPS, keys, secrets, access management and log analysis. Refer to the fees described below to plan your migration.

Additional quotas are not supported for the Software Key Management (small specification).
For the pay-as-you-go instances, the following QPS quotas represent the monthly usage.

Additional key quotas are not supported for the subscription Hardware Key Management.
