Starting June 30, 2024, Cloud Hardware Security Module (HSM) is being integrated into Key Management Service (KMS) to deliver a more comprehensive data encryption solution. The integration completes on September 30, 2024. After that, HSM is purchased and supported directly through KMS.
What you need to know
During the integration (June 30 – September 30, 2024)
HSM continues to operate normally. Purchase, activate, and use HSM as you do today — no action required.
After the integration (from October 1, 2024)
No service disruption: Your existing HSM-based services are not affected.
Equivalent capabilities in KMS: The capabilities you rely on in HSM are available in KMS.
Unified commerce: Purchase and support for HSM move to KMS.
