Identity as a Service:Management operations

This document describes how to use the Management tab in the log module of IDaaS EIAM. Administrators can use this tab to view, search, and manage logs related to system administration operations for auditing and troubleshooting.

Function overview

The IDaaS system stores key operation logs of administrators and users for 180 days. During this period, administrators can view and retrieve these logs at any time to audit, trace, and analyze system administration operations.

Procedure

  1. Log on to the IDaaS console, select the corresponding IDaaS instance, and click Manage in the Actions column. Go to Log > Management.

  2. Set the time range. At the top of the log management interface, you can select the time range for logs.

    1. You can directly edit and enter the start and end times.

    2. Or select common time ranges from the dropdown menu (such as last week, last month, last three years, last six months, etc.).

  3. Advanced search

    You can use the following filters to precisely find the logs you need:

    1. Operator type: Select the category of the operator, such as IDaaS account, IDaaS application, RAM user, RAM role, etc.

    2. Object type: Select the category of the operation object, such as account, organization, user group, identity provider, application, etc.

    3. Event type: Select specific event types, such as application, authentication, authorization, etc.

    4. Event result: Select the result status of the event, such as success/skipped, failed, etc.

  4. Execute search

    1. After entering the filter conditions, click the Search button to execute the query.

    2. To clear all filter conditions, click the Reset button.

    3. Check Search and collapse to automatically collapse the filter panel after searching, making the interface more concise.

  5. View log details

    Search results will be displayed in the table at the bottom of the page. The table includes the following columns:

    1. Time: When the operation occurred.

    2. Operator: The account that performed the operation.

    3. Event type: The specific type of operation.

    4. Operation object: The object that was operated on.

    5. Event result: The result status of the operation.

    Click on a log record to view more detailed log information.
