Cloud Backup:Differences between the old and new versions of on-premises file backup

Last Updated:May 27, 2024

This topic describes the differences between the old and new versions of on-premises file backup.

The new version of the on-premises file backup feature is provided based on the old version of the feature. You can use the new version to back up files on a more comprehensive and user-friendly interface in the Cloud Backup console. If you use the on-premises file backup feature for the first time, we recommend that you select On-Premises File Backup of New Version.

Upgrade your Cloud Backup client for on-premises file backup to the new version at the earliest opportunity by referring to the Cloud Backup client installation page. For more information, see Install a Cloud Backup client.

The following table describes the differences between the old and new versions of the on-premises file backup feature.
