Function Compute offers a free trial package to users who log on to the Function Compute console for the first time. This trial quota is shared between an Alibaba Cloud account and its Resource Access Management (RAM) users. The trial quota is valid for three consecutive months. Usage that exceeds the trial quota during any month is billed on a pay-as-you-go basis. To save costs, you can purchase a resource plan.
How to claim the trial quota
If you are a new user or have just activated the Function Compute service, you can claim your free trial on the New Customer Trial Package page.
Trial quota details
The trial quota is provided for three periods. Each period is one calendar month and resets at 00:00 on the first day of the month. If you claim the trial quota in the middle of a calendar month, the first period is split. For example, if you activate Function Compute and claim the trial quota at 09:00 on September 15, 2024, the three periods are as follows:
Period 1: [09:00, September 15, 2024 to 24:00, September 30, 2024] + [00:00, December 01, 2024 to 09:00, December 15, 2024]
Period 2: 00:00, October 01, 2024 to 24:00, October 31, 2024
Period 3: 00:00, November 01, 2024 to 24:00, November 30, 2024
During each period, any CU usage that exceeds the 150,000 CU trial quota is automatically billed on a pay-as-you-go basis.
