This article describes the end of support plans for Node.js 4.4, Node.js 6, Python 2.7, and. NET Core 2.1 runtimes in Function Compute. End of support does not impact function execution. Your existing functions can continue to run. However, they will be running on unsupported runtimes which does not support new features or is no longer patched by the Function Compute team. End of support plan for Node.js 4.4 and Node.js 6

  • Starting June 1, 2023, Function Compute will no longer provide technical support or apply security patches and updates to the Node.js 4.4 and Node.js 6 runtimes used by Function Compute functions. In addition, you will no longer be able to create new Function Compute functions that use the Node.js 4.4 or Node.js 6 runtime.
  • Starting July 1, 2023, you will no longer be able to update existing functions that use the Node.js 4.4 or Node.js 6 runtime.

We recommend that you upgrade your existing functions that use Node.js 4.4 and Node.js 6 to Node.js 14 or later before June 1, 2023.

End of support plan for Python 2.7

  • Starting June 1, 2023, Function Compute will no longer provide technical support or apply security patches and updates to the Python 2.7 runtime used by Function Compute functions. In addition, you will no longer be able to create new Function Compute functions that use the Python 2.7 runtime.
  • Starting July 1, 2023, you will no longer be able to update existing functions that use the Python 2.7 runtime.

We recommend that you upgrade your existing functions that use Python 2.7 to Python 3.9 or later before June 1, 2023.

End of support plan for .NET Core 2.1

Starting June 1, 2023, Function Compute will no longer provide technical support or apply security patches and updates to the .NET Core 2.1 runtime used by Function Compute functions. In addition, you will no longer be able to create new Function Compute functions that use the .NET Core 2.1 runtime.

We recommend that you upgrade your existing functions that use .NET Core 2.1 to .NET Core 3.1 or later before June 1, 2023.
