This topic provides answers to some frequently asked questions (FAQ) about Enterprise Distributed Application Service (EDAS).

Does EDAS support other programming languages besides Java?

Yes. EDAS allows you to directly deploy PHP applications in Container Service for Kubernetes (ACK) clusters or serverless Kubernetes clusters. In addition, EDAS allows you to deploy microservice-oriented multi-language applications by using a service mesh. EDAS provides the following service governance features for applications: application management, service discovery, tracing analysis, and load balancing. What are the billing items of EDAS? How are IaaS resources billed?

EDAS bills are generated based on the number of instances on which applications are deployed. These instances are referred to as application instances in this section. You are charged based on the greatest number of application instances that you use in a day. You are not billed twice when you restart a pod or an Elastic Compute Service (ECS) instance. The bills generated by EDAS do not cover the costs of IaaS resources such as ECS instances. You are charged separately for each IaaS resource that you use.
