Overview
This topic describes how to run the telnet
command in Windows.
Tips: This article takes Windows 10 as an example.
Description
The telnet
command is not enabled by default in Windows. You can enable it manually as follows:
- Refer to remote connection to log on to the Windows instance.
- Click start, Enter control panel, and click Enter to open the control panel page.
- Click program > Programs and functions.
- Click enable or disable Windows, select the Telnet client check box, and click OK.
- After the installation is complete, click start, enter cmd, open the command line.
- Run the following command to test whether the
telnet
command can be used properly:telnet -help
